Project: Saint Vincent de Paul

Digital transformation of a Non-profit organization through business process automation and data capture.

Saint Vincent de Paul (SVdP) is a global non-profit organization founded in Paris, France, in 1833. The organization currently helps over 30 million people daily through its 800,000 members and 1,500,000 volunteers in more than 150 countries.

For this project, our goal was to create a group of digital assets that could automate process and capture and consolidate data into a single repository for analytical and reporting purposes.

We started by enhancing the outdated web page that capture data into a Google sheet, for one that capture data into a My SQL database hosted in AWS. We also develops a mobile application to automate the operation. The goal was to keep track of all activities in real-time. That would allow the organization to show all they do in real-time, increasing transparency, credibility, and, consequently, fundraising.

We created a database hosted in AWS to allow for growth. The DB could accommodate unlimited chapters for this organization. Using the new web page, client and volunteer requests, as well as visitor comments, were captured. The page will also serve as a tool in improving the search engine ranking. The web page was designed using a reaction framework, with proper responsiveness for desktop, laptop, and mobile devices. The mobile application was developed in Android Suite and IOS.

The mobile app can capture help requests from customers and allow complete operational process automation, from client intake to visits and delivery of board-approved help. All application users: board of director members, volunteers, and clients have a profile in the application that will allow them to perform their daily tasks; in the same way, an Uber driver and a customer use the same application to deliver and receive a meal.
